Trying a new finish
« on: April 18, 2024, 09:52:21 pm »
Years ago, Clint/Osage Outlaw recommended Wheel Coat from a rattle can. I did a little searching and found Rustoleum Clear Coat is pretty much the same.  I gotta say, I like this wet, glossy look. This will be a kind of show off piece. Not my usual, but definitely another trick for my trick bag!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

I tried it and it looks good and covers fast, but after a short while it cracked all up and down the limbs, looked like frets, I figured it is not made to bend,it's made for flat services like wheels ??? ;) :)  good luck and hope yours turns out better.  :-\
