Mushrooms would be a good way to make use of some of my oak off cuts, they'd make great little ornaments

, I'd also like to try carving some simple frog and mice, as well as songbirds, when i find some time.
I do enjoy your life on the farm blog and follow it, very interesting to get a glimpse of a different world to me, I enjoy a little gardening but farming is full on. I just finished pruning back some rose bushes and I'm having a go at making some outdoor bonsai's out of Olive, Japanese red maple, and rosemary, lavender and sage, which, for the most part, I have just root trimmed and repotted. I'm finding it quite addictive.
