Are we now endorsing pop ups?
« on: February 11, 2024, 01:22:04 pm »
I did not understand a pop up coming up at the site discretions . No problem unless you don’t want to promote that product.  Just saying.

It certainly has changed around here. Seems like we have become influencers.

Some site repair and maintenance is required I would say.

I’ve noticed over the last year a lot more advertising for sure
This is what the top and bottom of my page always looks like.
First pic is the top of the page. Always the girls. Now don’t get me wrong, I like girls, but.
Bottom of the page is whatever. And as I type this top and bottom of page is covered with trucks.
I like them too but, I’ve got two in my driveway.
I guess it’s just a sign of the times. Either way it’s the people on here that make this site what it is.

I was gonna ask what all these ads are about but I’ve been gone along time. Just figured that was the new norm

Not seeing any ads, but I have Adblocker Ultimate in place.

OTOH, if PA doesn't sell some ads, it will go broke. We don't contribute much...

I have an ad blocker as well, there are some free download ones that work well, I spend $35 a year for one that gets them all. I just clicked on this site and my blocker has already blocked 4 ads in the first minute.

When I turn my blocker off for some sites, I can't believe how many come up for people who don't have a blocker, sometimes dozens.

Jim I’m not against anyone making money but I don’t think my post should be the place for that to happen. Does your blocker also block the adds put up under your post. And if someone on this site gets lots of hits do they get any money . No I say keep the he adds at the top of the page.

I contacted Marie with PA and she is looking into this. It is not PA doing it or paying or being paid for it.

Arvin, my blocker only blocks things from showing up to me, not what other people see when I post something.

Sort of sounds like PA has been hacked.

Same as Muskyman, every time I get on the site, or open a different thread, or look at trading post, or anything, I get ads at the top, and bottom of page.
