I was referring to our plains native bows that weren't sinew backed with a simple D shape.

Weren't the Mandan bows in the Dakotas along the Missouri River deflex tipped, too?

I'm always careful with these depictions. Have seen various Greek depictions of harp players holding the the harp backwards (bass strings towards the body).
