It seems the PNW is poorly represented on this site.

I am a primitive bow builder in the PNW (if you search on this forum, you will see several of my bows). I'm also the president of a local and well-established black powder club. Our monthly shoots and annual rendezvous include primitive archery events.  So far, I am the only member who builds bows, but there is strong interest by members in shooting primitive bows and I have provided several members with bows. If you are interested, you can find us on the web by searching for "Forest Hills Black Powder Brigade".

Thanks for the reply, Gordon.  I also shoot BP, so maybe I'll keep an eye out for your rendezvous.

I have heard of a few other self-bowyers around the PNW.

Yes, there are several excellent bowyers who make primitive bows in the PNW including John Strunk, Ted Fry, Keenan Howard, Dave Chenny, and Carson Brown.
