Not much handshock with this bow, pretty smooth shooting bow!
Yeh rowan is abundant in Finland and pretty good bow wood

I am from Sweden and we have much Rowan here and they grew big if they get the chance, but I have never tried it yet but consider it - please fill in how it shoot?

It’s interesting to hear about its properties and how it compares to other woods like Maple. I’ve mostly worked with Elm myself, but your insights are making me curious to try out some Mountain Ash for my next project. That flat belly tip is especially helpful to avoid compression damage.
