52lb Yew Recurve

Hello all,
I made this bow a few months ago but never posted it. It’s got some set but nothing too drastic. I had some synthetic snake skin I wanted to try. It turned out pretty well I think. It’s 68” 52lb @ 30”. I’d love to hear your thoughts/ input. I’ve been bow building for about a year now. Not made as many as I’d like but this is really fun.

This is my first attempt at posting pictures from a hosting site. Hopefully it works.

Afurman. Good looking bow. Congrats on your build. I love the look of it. Tiller Looks pretty good to me however the pics look a little compressed possibly??? The outers appear they may have a little more bend then inners. Possibly slightly whip tillered. It’s hard to say for sure with pics like I said. Either way it looks great and if it shoots well the job well done. Enjoy.

Yeah I messed with these pictures for a while. It didn’t end well! Not sure why. I did have to compress them down but that’s never happened to me before.

I like the style and look, tillering had to be fun with all of those knots, too. Like said, it looks compressed a little with 3" wide limbs.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Congrats! Almost looks like moisture content was a bit high in the stave when tillered but thats a guess. Either way looks good. Like the look of those faux skins. I'd say you got this whole bow making thing figured out. Fades look a bit short in a few pics but I think thats just the compressed version of the picture. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
