Muzzle loader case with carrying sling
« on: October 29, 2022, 08:39:20 am »
Some years ago after replacing the 30" barrel with a 35" barrel on my JBMR it got to be over 10 pounds in weight.
I had bark tanned some elk back then.
Made this case with a sling to carry it in the hills.works great. It's carried wit the muzzle down and my hands are free then.
Did a little acrylic striping on it then too.

Looks nice.

Genuine question, I've heard that leather retains moisture and will rust your gun, so I've avoided any attempt at making a leather case.  Should I not worry?

I only use the carrying sling case while I hunt.I do not store it in it.No rust problems whatsoever.
