im trying to make wood arrows from scratch . all i have to weigh with is a gram scale does anyone know the conversion rate or how many grains 30 graims would be. thanks ken

OK Ken.........the conversion rate from Grams to grains is......1 gram = 15.4323584 grains..so 30 grams is 462.97 grains

Try google and ask for grams to grains conversion chart. Its printable and gives all the equivilants. Watcher

I always figured 437.5 grains to the ounce. My scale measures ounces, and hundredths of an ounce. When I weigh my arrows I get a number like 1.38oz then multiply it by 437.5 and come up with 603.75 grains which I call 604gr. Pat
