snake skin prep and storage
« on: August 31, 2022, 07:02:46 am »
I`ve just been gifted a very large timber rattler- after I`ve skinned and fletched it what would be the proper method of storing it until I`m ready to try applying to a bow?(don`t know weather to freeze it or just air dry it. probably be a while till I`m ready to use it . Thanks -bluejack

I dry the skins, roll them up and put them in a zip loc bag for storage, they keep this way for years. I store them in my low humidity climate-controlled house not in my unheated shop.
