I figured out some of you might be interested in this. This time i managed to get my name there also!
There is 33 participants, but i'm not sure if a few less actually shot. Even though there was no new records made, the skill level in shooting keeps increasing. 13 guys shot past 400m with hornbow and wooden arrow!
Airline lost Adam K's bow bag, so i borrowed him my second bow. Naturally, he couldn't do the same with it as he was expecting with his own. My bow was a little bit lighter at 85#. Maybe the arrows didn't fit the bow either, since he lost quite many arrows. Hopefully next year everything goes well, since he will be shooting those 500 meter shots then. I need to practice and prepare for that!
I think i had the lightest bow of the competition, 75# @27,5". I shot it with siper, thumb ring and 24" arrows as usual. 458m is a new Finnish record, so i'm happy.
The winner of competition actually shot full length arrows at 28-29", bow was Cem Dönmez's bow 105# @28".
