I have a good friend that has a couple of neighbors that have their own saw mill. Yesterday I got to go and see it in operation and help out while they cut up some huge pine logs. They cut up the lumber for their own use. This wood was to be used to build a kiln. They told me I could take anything that interested me so I grabbed a couple of pieces of straight grained pine from their scrap pile. I am hopeful I can make some nice arrows out of this once I get it dry. I cut out the nicest 36 inch sections last night and coated the ends with glue. Now I need to be patient and let this pine dry and season. It has really nice tight growth rings. If it works out I should get a bunch of arrows from this.
