They were going to do skin grafts this past Wednesday but she told us they had to scrape her burns again. She said the pain is bad.

That’s the part I remember the most about my brothers burns. They actually scrubbed the dead skin off with a brush. Had to get in all the nocks and crannies too. My brother screamed the whole while.

That and where they took skin from him for the graft. That hurt for a long time. Maybe they have made some improvements since then.

I still have her in my prayers and probably will for some time. Thanks for the update.

They did a skin graft yesterday they took the skin off her back. The doctor told my dad that where they took the skin off feels like second degree burns. Hope it takes.

My niece had 150 skin grafts, the skin was donated by Airmen of a Local Airforce Base.
I think most of the grafts were only temporary. I suppose it was mainly by guess and by golly as to whether a particular patch of skin could take. No DNA testing back then.

That was nearly 60 years ago. They are sure to have improved the process since then.

Seems like I saw a tv program once they were using artificial skin. I want to say they grew it somehow.
Might be all wrong though.

Still praying for her Rob
