Hi all,
I've made all the finishes on this bow: several coats of ecologic finishing oil, arrow plate, leather handle, and the string...here you have some pics.

I hope to go shooting this weekend and take some nice pics.
Thank you, friends,
David

Very nice! How is BL to work compared to Osage?
Just remember, you can't put the wood back on.

Thank you Dana, Greg, Gordon, Frank and Bear.
Bear, I have never worked osage (in europe is not an easy wood to find) but some day I will give it a try, sure.
Gordon, the handle is made remembering a truly nice handle work that I saw in ferret's archery web page, in the begginings of my information searching, and there was a german (Chris Guenther, I think)(in the section awesome wooden bows) that made a beautifull elm bow, with a handle that is the inspiration of this one.
Bye, american brothers,

That's a great looking bow, David. Tiller, profile, finish details-I like everything about it. Really good work.

I keep coming back to this one to look at that grip, finish, and gracefull lines! I'm considering a BL next but have seen a lot on here about fretting and belly weakness.

If you got 28" out of that bow with the diminsions you listed I just don't see a problem. I have a buddy with a BL about the same. He has had some minor fretting but it stopped and the bow is still shooting the same years later.
Just remember, you can't put the wood back on.
