Studying the picture I thought...hang on that's not 82# that's 72! I went back into the garage and looked at the peak hold needle on the scale... yes 72# !!!!
Arrrgghhh. I've E-mailed the guy and said he can have a full refund if he doesn't want it.
At what point did I start missreading the scale??? At least I can trawl back through the videos on my blog and find out where I went wrong.
I'm not angry, just dissapointed

PS I trawled back through the videos to find at what point I started missreading the scale. It was only the last bit of work I did... it had been 85# at 30", I took it shooting and it seemed to be the same, so I went a bit heavy handed with the rasp. The wood removal I'd done before seemed to have little effect (despite exercising the wood). I'm sure we've all had that before... nothing happens, then you get a sudden shift.
Don't s'pose I'm the first to do this.
