Heh, Aznboi, I think I've admired your pine bow for 5 years ever since I first saw it.
I once made a bow out of Eastern cottonwood for a challenge here on PA:

That's a lot worse wood than white pine, and the bow was not as forgiving a design, and had a cambered and kinda wiggly back. Sure the Meare Heath might not work out. But I'm in this for the fun and interest, and to see if I can do something.
I do thank you for the caution Bassman, I think that was well meaning. And thanks for calling me a lad. I'm 72, and that made my day!

Thanks Bassman.
Today, the riser is glued on. Here's a side by side comparison of the old PA challenge cottonwood bow and the new Meare Heath pine bow blank. To give you some idea how big the MH is, that smaller bow is 61" x 2" wide.
