My world is crashing

Could use some prayers and good vibes.

42 year old wife, cute as a button and explosive as dynamite, PhD in theoretical  physics...is facing liver cancer and possible metastasis in her spine.   Was diagnosed with breast cancer about 6 years ago and we thought we had it beat.  Went in this past week for what we thought was a gallbladder issue.

I've never truly appreciated what people go through when they say the whole world crashed on thrm.

Following the email doctors report, I'm sitting here watching my little girl, all bright and happy working on her homework in complete innocence and it's tearing me apart.

Sorry to unload this on the forum but I just needed get it off my chest.

My son had a brain tumor when he was 7 months old. He had 54 surgeries before his fifth birthday. At times I didn’t even know what to pray for anymore.

Not meaning to get religious, but one Easter my son was in surgery. I remember thinking how hard it would be to give up your only son.

I don’t know what the answer to your prayers will be. I hope you find strength and peace from them though.

I’m very sorry if my post is to religious. I don’t mean to push my beliefs on anyone. I’m just offering that prayer for you and your loved ones.

I had a similar situation.
Some one close reminded me that "we are flesh and blood, not made of iron."

These things are hard, and no one whose has not gone through it know how hard.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Just kind of numb right now.  We're looking at 7cm mass on an 11cm liver, plus the possibility metastasis on her spine. 

Tomorrow we see the cancer doctor and she's a firecracker so that gives me a little hope.  She told my wife over the phone to make the biopsy appointment,  then call her back and she'd personally see to it that it gets moved sooner.

I'm trying to be optimistic on the outside for the sake of everyone else,  but inside I can't help being pretty pessimistic.

Been there as well, after battling cancer for 14 months my wife went in for one more check up as she grew weaker. When I got the bad news from her oncologist the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life was to go up to her hospital room tell her that the DRs had done all that they could do and the end was near. That was 8 years ago and I still teared while up typing this.

My heart goes out to you, I know what you are facing.
