cow tooth arra heads?

anyone ever tried cow tooth arra heads? i got a pair of old cow jaws with all the teeth still in em. enamal is the hardest thing on a bodey, just thought they might make good tips. anyone ever tried it?

No, but I've used pig and beaver teeth for fine serrations on stone points.

wadaya mean? to make the serations? oh well, i guess i need to quit askin youguys how to do stuff and go figur it out myself.  ;)

dunno. howsabout this. i make a cowtooth one this weekend, ya make a tusk one, and we'll post how it works. ( i gotta wait till the weekend to go mooch of of the grandpa's tools :P)

I gotta wait till I get a tusk, I got two attached to the skull, but i wanna keep it intact. It seems like it would work, next one i get ill try it and post it up to show ya.  maybe ill actually kill one this weekend instead of almost shooting one. :P

lol, sounds good. i know the feelin of wantin to kill instead of almost shootin, but thats our way. if ya wanted a sure chance of a kill every time use a set o trainin weels or a rifle.

thats for sure, I know you can use a crossbow where I hunt too, but I can't bring myself to use wheels or sights after all the practice with my longbow,  itll be so much more rewarding when it finally happens.  thats why barta calls it hunting the hard way,   i call it hunting the fun way.

Howard Hill wrote a book called "Hunting The Hard Way." in the 1950's. NOT Tred Barta. Barta is using the title ( like he said it ) ta promo his hunting escapades. He didnt say it first.............bob

...im gonna steal my frinnd's neklace. its supposed to be a sharktooth, but its a bone triangle with REALY sharp serations. i want to kill sumthin with it ;D
