Yew Wood Bow?

This is first time with a piece of yew.

This piece is 55".

 I have gone beyond the sap wood in several places on the back.

What options do I have for the back of the bow?

Bamboo,Hickory, Ash (edge sawn like this ||||||||||| ), sinew.

Flatsawn backings work well too :) The firbers don't care about their orientation :)
I'd remove all the sapwood, smooth out the back and then back with sinew.

So the back is undulating.
What would be a really thin rawhide I could use?
I was thinking maybe lambskin, not sure.

You don't want it really thin :) You want something super tough. Generally if you were to back a stave, you would flatten the back beforehand.
