It's another hackberry bow

Hackberry 47#@27" 64"ntn, osage tip overlays. Used coffee for the light stain work, just to cut that shiney whitewood.

Don't think we see enough hackberry bows. That one came out excellent. Coffee stain gave it a nice subtle change in appearance. Well done.

Thanx folks. I was looking for a stain that kept the natural look and something soft. The coffee worked better than i hoped. And with 4 coats of tung oil, I was more than happy with it.

I have to agree. I think hackberry is a first rate bow wood and is too often overlooked.

Thanx again guys. I use hackberry alot because its so plentiful in my neck of the woods. It's easy to work and loves a good heat treatin. They make a fine bow and a great hunting bow as well.
