Yosemite…don’t sweat it dood.  Get it done in whatever timeframe it takes, I’m up to my eyeballs in getting an elk bow finished and buying too much gear to be worrying about a point showing up.  Take your time.

Ok...stupid question, but what does PITH stand for?  I have "point in the hand" in my mind, but I know that't not right...right?

You are welcome.  Of course, it's a little like baking some spaghetti and sending it to Gordon Ramsay, but I gave it my best with what I had.

Nice Eric.
I have been really busy with wheat harvest and farming. I promise I will get a point done though. Sure wish I hadn’t broken the one I started.

Hopefully next week.

Ok folks, it's time to see an uptick of "point porn."  My wife and kids have been visiting the inlaws in Alabama for two weeks and don't get back 'till Wednesday, my bow is in the wrapped and drying phase of the sinew job, there are only so many arrows (shoots) that you can straighten at one sitting before you go permanantly cross-eyed, and I've nearly got the house "spring-cleaning" clean.  I'm trying not to knapp anymore until after elk season, because I have a raging case of tendonitis/tennis elbow, and doing anything shocky like knapping will not allow it to heal...SO...I'm bored...SO...

Post some freaking pics already!

Just in case anyone is having trouble posting pictures:

I've found it much easier to post pics from my iphone than from my computer.  I have an iPhone 11, and my computer is a PC running Windows 10.

Use your smartphone to take your pics then sign on to PA.com then

1. hit "reply" to whatever thread you want to post a pic
2. add what you want to say like you'd reply to any thread on the forum
3. touch or click on "attachments and other options" bleow the text box you just typed your message in
4. Click or touch the "choose file" button under the bolded "Attach:" thingy that opened up when you did step 3.
5. A menu will pop up on your phone that says "Photo Library , Take photo or video,  and Browse"
6. Touch "Photo Library"
7. Find the picture you want to post and touch it,

HERE IS WHERE YOU HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION and this is where most folks are likely having trouble.

The picture you chose will enlarge to fill the entire screen and across the bottom of the screen, you will see:

"Cancel"  "Actual Size (2.6MB)"  "Choose"

If you click choose, and believe me you will do that even when you are aware that you shouldn't, the picture chosen is way too large of a file, and it will never post.  So, you MUST...

7. Touch where it says "Actual Size (x.x MB)"

8. A menu will pop up showing the choices "Small (x.xKB)" "Medium (x.xKB) "Large (x.xKB) "Actual Size (x.xMB)

Choose the one that is as close to 250KB WITHOUT GOING OVER 250KB.
The file must be 250KB or smaller!

9. Once you touch the one you want that is less than 250KB, double check that is says the correct size at the
bottom of the pic and then touch "choose"

10.  You can repeat this process 3 times by now touching "(more attachments)" and repeating the process for a total of four attached photos per post.

If you screw up and hastily choose a pic without reducing it's size and hit "Post," it will not post and you're screwed.  I've found it easiest to completely leave PA.com website then come back, go to the thread I want to post pics on, hit reply, and start the process over.  You will not simply be able to hit the back button to change the pic size that screwed you up....at least I haven't figured out a way to do that yet.

If you choose pics under 250KB, there is never a problem with them posting quickly to the thread.

If you are trying to do this on a computer:  I have not found an easy way to post from my computer.  When you choose a picture on the computer, it does not give the option to choose a size that I have been able to figure out.  Therefore, it chooses the large pic file, and it will not post.  The only way I've been able to post pics from my computer is to go into where I have the photo stored, click on it to edit it, and screw with it until the file size is less than 250KB.  I don't like doing this, because it saves the pic as a smaller, less quality image on my computer at that point.

I have absolutely no clue what causes the pics to show up distorted and/or rotated, but it dosen't happen often enough for me to worry about figuring it out.

If anyone can enlighten us as to why pics post upside-down and distorted and tell us how to avoid it, please do so.

Hope this was helpful to someone...anyone.
