Finish over ERC
« on: April 12, 2021, 01:52:17 am »
Can anyone point me to a finish (if their is one) that will maintain the light purple on ERC rather than change it to a dark red? I’ve only used minwax tung oil, which really pops the grain, but also really darkens the heartwood. Thanks!

I know that wood is very sensitive to UV, so I would use something like helmsman spar urethane, but that dose change the color some.

Nothing you can do to stop the wood oxidising.
