Sounds like my idea - drink good whiskey, eat good meat with your broccoli!  You will live until you die!

Smoke em if you got em! Reminds me of my early army days, I realized if you didn't smoke or drink coffee you kept working when the Sarge said "Smoke em if you got em". I didn't smoke or like coffee but took an interest in coffee it when the company took a smoke break. It didn't take long to develop a taste for the stuff.

I saw em making coffee in my early days on KP. Take a 30gal pot boil water and pour a couple pounds of no name coffee grind in, bring to rolling boil, turn off heat, ladle out what's above the crap on the bottom. Never had a drop til I was a PSG punching Infantry studs still at fourty years old. Prolly pretty similar to Gordie Howe playing hockey at 50yrs. Yer body is broke up from one to many bad parachute landings and being mortored a few to many times.
Smokin just dumb, good way to get round thru yer knot and the boogers can smell you in bush 50yds away.

Sounds like the "fear" coffee we had in the PMO.  One cup was all you needed for fear that you would have to drink another if you didn't stay awake.  Started the brew at midnight and just kept adding grounds and letting it perk. (lol). All jumps were good - landings, not so much!
