~65 to 70# @28"
67.5" knock to knock
1 1/4" wide mid limb
19oz
Zero set
Chocolate buckskin handle, antler arrow rest. The self knocks looked so good l I decided to leave them plain.
This was a challenge to tiller because of a roller coaster in the upper limb and twist in the lower limb, as well as a lump near the lower tip that always looked like a hinge. It made me pay very close attention to thickness taper, so this may be the best tillered bow I have made yet, despite the wavy look
I tempered it twice during tillering, and then once at the end to take out a little set. This bow is actually to strong for my weighing system, but I projected the weight to be between 65 and 70#. All going well I'll test the bow for distance this weekend.
I can't believe how slender this bow is. It's a shade over half an inch thick mid limb, but it is so stiff! This is my favorite design, and I just love the look of tempered HHB.
