I just saw the backing video. Your craftsmanship is consistently excellent and you produce beautiful bows.
You probably already realise it, but that rawhide you used was about 3 times thicker than ideal. Good stuff to use if you want to edge a viking shield though.
Deerskin is better if you can get it because its much thinner. Other options are goat, or kangaroo rawhide.
Old time bowyer's used strips of artists vellum, or clarified calfskin, which is much thinner.
