Two Osage Selfbows with Bison Hide Quivers
« on: January 16, 2021, 08:51:13 pm »
Hope you're all having a nice weekend! Thought I'd post a couple pictures of some osage bows, quivers, and arrows I finished up and sent off last week. The one with the snakey fade is the 58# bow and the one with the darker color is 51#. The quivers are made from hand-stitched bison hide with coyote pelts applied to the outside. The arrows are Surewood Shafts with wild goose feathers, self nocks, and artificial sinew binding. This one was of those times when you've gotta send away a couple you'd have loved to keep for yourself!

Osage Selbow

Very nice, simple, selfbows.

Goose feathers are nice and lite. I got a pile I need split and sand.

You did an excellent job on both bows. Great looking quivers & arrows too.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the compliments.

HH - not sure if you’re into stripping feathers, but goose strips pretty easily!
