Did you heat treated it? All I heard about hickory is, it is prone to string follow and your design is very slim but limbs are straight.

Looks very good. Gonna make one from English oak.

It was heat treated under a radiator and I kept the stave in a drying box as it was made. I also smeared the belly with pine resin after heat treating the final time. I’ve been doing this lately and whether or not there are performance benefits I like how the wood finishes after
