Ideal RH for getting low MC?
« on: January 08, 2021, 01:12:31 pm »
I bought a hygrometer and decided to measure the temp and RH change in the area in my house where I'd like to store bow blanks for seasoning. The temp average is 70 degrees F and the RH ranges between 30-40%. Is this suitable to get a hickory stave down to around 6-8% MC?

Just be careful, my hickory got too low and I had to rehydrate it.
