Abrading stone new find
« on: December 28, 2020, 09:22:26 am »
Just read an article that scientist now have confirmed a stone 350,000 years old was used for abrading. They previously hadn't seen that type of tool use before 200,000 years ago.

Seems like knapping is a pretty old skill!  Now, if they can find a piece of work connected to it.

They said this was actually pre-knapping. It was used to abraid soft items like hide or plant material

They said bashing tools, then chopping then cutting. Makes sense that those would come first.

Somewhere along the line somebody figured out how to tie a stick to a stone, and swing or throw it! And here we are talking seriously about going to Mars!
