Getting a couple friends together
« on: November 27, 2020, 03:29:40 pm »
With this crazy year, it’s good to get together with some friends.

Pearl and I did a trade awhile ago. Life got busy for both of us. A pandemic screwed up our best plans. I did manage to spend a night at Elm Hall and Chris stopped in. He gave me this fine Osage bow. It’s sweet.

I’m embarrassed to say it, but I hadn’t done anything but string it and give it a couple good full draws.
Finally today I just got missing a few friends and got my son to take a couple pictures. I  needed a arrow and another friend so Dbar joined us.

Here we are me, Pearl and Dbar. I think my man cave is smiling to.

Here’s to seeing friends.

Yup Shawn it’s a very capable weapon and I’d love to go hog hunting someday or night.

Nice gathering!  Hope my arrows look that good some day!  Looks like a new target, as well!  Well done!

It was nice Morgan.  Not as good as the real thing, but still nice.

Me to Jerry. Bill does amazing work. Everything he does is top shelf. Especially his arrows. They shoot every bit as good as they look. They look to good to shoot, but that doesn’t stop me from shooting them. I have almost Robin Hooded them a couple times .

PS the target isn’t that new. I just haven’t been shooting as much as I should be. I normally would have a hole punched out of the center of this one. Broke my thumb on my bow hand last December and although it is healed from the break the arthritis is really hurting. Plus I got a couple other targets to abuse now to.

I haven't seen my brother in a 4 years but we manage to Skype once a week or so. He  lives in CA and I live in NH. They were coming here for Thanksgiving but Covid took care of that.

It is good that you connected with friends, bj, however you can.

Bow is great looking.

George one that I’m most attached to I made from a friend who had brain cancer. I donated it to a fund raiser for him. My cousin ended up winning it at the raffle. I posted it here under the title “Living The Dream “ this family has had unbelievable hardships. They have all gone to meet their maker now. I’m so happy my cousin got that bow. It just gives me a connection to them all when I pick that one up and shoot it.

I’d love to see that happen Simson. Maybe we can both start paddling and meet in the middle.
