Gosh thats pretty. Well done! Question though. Why did you feel the Rawhide was needed? I have some boa skin and that stuff seems like rawhide to me. Is it not as strong, or you were just being cautious?

Stellar bow Weylin! The finish work is flawless of course and the side profiles, resting, braced and full draw are really impressive. I love seeing a bow with all that character in the front profile tillered so perfect that it looks smooth and tame from the side when braced and drawn. Top notch work my friend. :)
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Thanks again, fellas!

Dude you have to stop making such beautiful bows. One day I won't be able to resist and I'll buy one...and then I'll be divorced

I'd hate to be responsible for that! just buy the first one for your wife. ;)

Thanks, Kevin. It wasn't needed per se. It was just some extra insurance on a character bow that might end up in a dry climate. I've heard of too many of these snakey bows breaking and I don't like it when my bows break. :)

Thank you, Greg! I was paying really close attention to the profiles so it's gratifying to have someone else see it. Still enjoying your bow, by the way.

Well, I'm going to vote for my bow so as not to get skunked, but I'd vote for this one ten times if I could.  I so want to make a snaky bow like this...but I gotta go cut some trees that'll give me staves like this!  Going to look for some character trees next time I'm in Indiana and Ohio.  Beautiful work brother!  Very impressive and complimentary mix of God's provisions masterfully combined into a deadly work of art.  Sweet!

YIKES!!! I'm working on a Hickory backed Black Walnut longbow and considered posting when done, but seeing a bow of this caliber makes me feel like a first grader in a college lecture hall!!!

Artistry with function - my gosh. The bowyers art has had the bar raised beyond what I ever dreamed making my 1st back in '99.

Weylin, your work is inspiring and executed beyond belief. I keep repeating to myself...WOW...Wow. Amazing.
