Turkey feathers
« on: October 29, 2020, 10:45:05 am »
I have lots of wild turkey feathers from California birds. Primary, 2ndary and tail. Mostly looking for staves of hop hornbeam, locust  or osage. Maybe others too. If someone has well knapped points I'd like those too as I am not a very good knapper. Backstrap sinew is another thing.
Just to give an example. Depending on the quality and type of wood a stave is I'm willing to trade 100-200 feathers for high quality staves.

I've got plenty of hard maple and some character hophornbeam.  I don't really need feathers now, but I can always use good primaries and I have more maple than I can use.

Thanks Trad, but maple is one wood I have a bit of right now. I'm looking for clean staves.

PM sent. Hoping to score some secondary and tail feathers. I have some whitetail back sinew and will have a lot more come the end of November. Also have a few clean osage staves, but they are short (60 inches) and most were cut recently.
