How is the tension- compression ratios? Width -length etc. This one is 2-1/8 at the fades 69”non. What’s a good weight for ash?  Arvin

Reduce it to a thin strip and back a Perry reflex Osage.  You'll be happier. ;)

It is probably the only wood I never liked using but it is on me. I kept getting chrysalis.
The only ash that didn't chrysalis was from a board.

heat treating will avoid set and chrysals and turn it into a very reliable bowwood. that dimensions easily make a 60#+ bow.  (-S trapping the sides always is a good idea too...its almost impossible to snap it over the back.

Smik that’s what I was  interested In the trapping. Ok so trap and heat treat. I was thinking 45 to 50# bow.
