River birch question

This knot is perfectly placed in the center of the back of a river birch working limb. I have done most of my rough in, wouldn't call it floor tiller yet. I have flooded it with cyocynate( or however you spell it) glue. Stave is 66" long, 3" wide till last 6", reduces down to 3/4" wide. Limbs are currently 3/4" thick-belly to back.  Backing it isn't an option at this point.

Put it in the burn pile or invest more time and sweat?

No evidence of the knot. Depth of the thing is maybe 1/16".  No way to tell how much it extends in any direction  underneath the good wood....Paul

That looks more like a scar than a knot. We quite often get bear scratches on Yew but there's usually three or four.

Just leave enough wood around the knot to add protection. You may run into the knot from the belly side. Is there a reason for the 3" width? I don't think it needs to be that wide unless you have a specific idea in mind.
