Red Oak recurve v2
«

Hello guys!
Here is my latest work. It is red oak recurve. I tried a bit unusual finish this time. I used natural leather and some painting on the back. It was my first time I applied more agressive recurves on my bow. It took some set but shoots very very well!
The bow draws 45lbs at 28".
Have a great day!!!

Very nice red oak recurve. Is it from a board or stave?

I’m always amazed at how aggressive yet graceful your recurves are.

Red oak boards and red oak staves are 2 different animals in my experience. The red oak staves I've used over the years are far superior to the red oak boards I've bought at Lowe's.
Agan, very nice recurve.

Impressive, especially if it is made from a store bought board. I would like to have the full specs and front and side profiles. Thanks.
