Deflex/Reflex BBO with a Maple riser
« on: April 27, 2008, 09:47:20 pm »
Finished up a Bamboo backed Osage Tri- lam with a birds eye Maple riser. The bow is 66"ntn and pulls 51# at 28". The bow shoots really nice and is very quiet.

Beautiful trilam. Tiller looks perfect with that full arc full draw.   What is the core lam?  Maple also?     Pat

OK, now I see. You have a power lam under the back at the handle. Very nice work.    Pat

I knew, even before I opened the thread, that this would be a nice bow. Your work is top shelf, as usual. How about a build along?!? I, for one, would be grateful. Thanks!!

Most of my bows are made of Argentine Osage, I get 2x2 boards and cut all my lams from them. I would really like to do a build a long, never done one before. I will do one like the bow I have posted but a shorter version 62" It will take a bit the way I did this bow it has three seperate glue ups. I will start it tomarrow with getting everything cut and laid out, Stay tuned

very nice bow.  i'm impressed with the tiller.  it's fascinating to see how it goes from reflex to full arc.  and thanks in advance for the build-along.

Now that is a dandy bow right there. Nice work, can't wait to follow along on your build-a-long.
