Raw Hide and glue in reflex question
« on: July 17, 2020, 09:20:37 am »
Hey! I just finished an osage cherokee style, slightly bend thru handle. It has rings less than a dime thick.
Ive shot it about 10 times and was cleaning up the back when i noticed some spots that have me worried so i'm just gonna put the rawhide to it and be done.
It had some natural reflex but naturally lost most of it during the tiller process.
Question: Could or should I put some reflex back in there when i glue the rawhide on??

The rawhide won't hold the extra reflex. You could add a bit of reflex first then add the rawhide.
