This is a Bow im just finishing up for a good friend... its hickory, i cut only 2 months ago, and stuck in my solar kiln for a while. 59.5" long, 1.5" wide, has a little bit of a R/D profile, slightly bends threw the handle, and is 35#/26". The handle is built up with leather as is the arrow rest and is all wrapped up in cherry bark ( wich i had a post asking a question about eairlier) The leaves on the belly and tip are hickory leaves, very lightly burned in. Osage tip overlays, and the arrows are birch, feathers tied on with dogbane, string serving also dogbane. The tiller seems a little odd because the lower limb has a bit of reflex deflex going on and the upper is pretty much straight... it has about .5" set... tiller ok? need any tweaking? brace hight is like 5.5" is that too high? it seems to shoot best there... oh and its finished with beez wax melted in, then 5 coats of shalac. anyway thanks for looking and any suggestions would be great.
