I still don't use a stringer with a recurve but i would recommend it to someone that has little experience with bows

I have a lifetime of experience with bows, but I still use a stringer with recurves. Sooner or later, you'll break a tip with push/pull on a recurve. i found this out... the hard way.

I am with Marc...If you feel safer with a Stringer....go for it....I myself was not taught with one...and have never used one before either.... I feel comfortable with either other Method of Stringing my Bows
