that's OK Arvin...you will hide that true oil when you put a nice snakeskin on it... :)

That’s my 50# record bow traced at brace. You get it braced and it matches that profile and you are pretty much done. Arvin

I use this exact concept. It works darn near perfect. The only thing to add is that I try to get the draw weight to match at half draw, before ever going further.

I only tried that Sleek  cause I new that one was right. Most all bows 67-69” come close to that profile once tillered. I am still learning tiller on the tree. Looks like a helpful way to get more exact tiller. The ones with the grid are hard for me to keep up with. To many lines . Arvin

Ok bow needs about 6 more coats of true oil but here are the results. Both bows came in at 27oz. Both 50@28” 67” ntn.  Both pyramid in limb design. The straight one is a bit wider at the fades. The snake took 1” more set than the straight one. The snake shot 5 shots between 171-176 FPS , the straight shot 5 shots 177-180. Arrow weight 435 gr

Pair of nice looking bows right there. Not much difference in performance. Good job and bringing that snake to life.

Oh left out one important thing shock!!! The snake was not bad in shock but had a tad more than the straight bow.

I bet it would be pretty tough to get both those limbs in prefect timing as different as they are. If all you got is a little hand shock, I would say you done good.

Arvin ,considering the limbs being more narrow, I think that piece of snaky wood is doing an excellent job, as did the bowyer that made it.   :OK  I'd trade you a perfectly straight Mojam Clout shoot bow for it once you get tired of it.  :)

very nice. I've often wondered how much snakiness would affect the speed. I'm glad you didn't skin it ;D ;D

Ok final test. Into a 3-5 mile wind. Shot two of my broadhead flight arrows 200yds and 210 yds. Probably has 220 or so in it. One of those arrows went 247 with d97 from my 50@28 flight bow. Better results than I thought from a snake. Maybe a sneaky snake. Arvin
