Something different for me
« on: June 12, 2020, 06:35:32 pm »
I've never made a bow with this profile before, but the shape of the stave was asking for it. Almost zero handshock. I will try this type again for sure. Additionally, streaked osage has not been very good to me lately.

68" bow drawing low 50's at 29"  I left the tips a bit bulky because my friend who is getting this bow is not gentle with them, and needs 2 new knees and ends up using it as a "keep from falling" stick once in a while. I am very pleased with how it shoots.

I like that braced profile and the tiller looks good. Love the tip overlays too. But it does look like you cut the rest on the wrong side!

Nope, just looked at the pics wrong!  ::) My error! I thought pic#2 was the belly; didn’t look carefully enough.

Just what the doctor ordered type of stave and then bow.

That’s a great looking bow and just my draw length/weight. Great job!

Thanks Ed, and Will. It would be best to get another inch draw out of it. My friend could do it. We'll see how it goes.
