Hickory selfbows

Made a couple over the past week or so. First is 67" 50#@28" recurve. This was my first recurve out of hickory a nice little bow.

Second is 66"49#@28", also seems to shoot well.

What method did you use for reflexing, steam, dry heat, etc?

Thanks all, I've tried the big curves on osage, not for me. I boiled the tips for the curves and used the fire hardening process over a bed of coals clamped to a caul for the reflex.

Eric the recurve has settled in at 160-161 this morning, I got a couple coats of massey finish left to go on longbow so didn't put a string back on it yet.

Thanks for comments, George I just listen to what the gizmo tells me as far as tiller goes. My biggest decisions are  usually how stiff to leave the tips and if the fades are moving enough. The gizmo has been a tremendous help in training my eyes what proper tiller should look like.

Very nice bows. The unbraced says it all. Is the form you use over the fire narrow?
