I read many posts here that mention heat treating bows for general strength/durability, rather than purely to correct a bend or twist. I'm curious about how you determine the right amount and duration of heat, i.e., how hot is not hot enough or too hot, and how long is too brief or too long? And what stage of the build process is appropriate for heat treatment- at floor tiller, or just before/after final tiller; when should it be done? Do you treat only the belly, back, or back and belly? Which woods benefit from and/or need heat treating the most? I know there's a lot to consider here, so I appreciate everyone's input. Thanks.
