In trying to plip tips for siyahs, in the first picture there is a piece of elm, there lifted a splinter but It Will still be dtiff enought after getting the splinter away. The second picture is a piece of black locust with the grain laying vertical, i oiled It and put It in the microwave at Max power untill i heard the fat cooking, then i put It in the same could and bend It as soon as possible, again a splinter lifted(didn't find sheet metal yet) not sure if It Will be dtiff enought to not bend because it is still cooling down. But at the inside of the curve there  occured a bumb, also on the sides. O dont know if that do Harm. Do i really needed to put a metal strip on It? And hoe do i attatch It?

Just steam or boil and bend quickly.  Neither of those woods tends to need a strap to support the outside of the bend.

Your locust piece has collapsed in compression  in one spot. Toss it.
