It wouldn't hurt to fill it in. With major holes I've always used sawdust and wood glue ...T3 preferably because it is waterproof. Jawge

If it flex at all in draw fill it. Clint just pull It to the ear for thirty inches. I to suffer the short draw syndrome.  Arvin

i like filling it with turquoise or something else colorful.
woodworker buddy of mine used to fill cracks and burns with crushed gem stones and the thin CA glue

What draw weight is the bow?
I would definitely fill it especially with the cut in shelf weakening that area already. I wouldn't use dyed epoxy by itself, it isn't very rigid. Superglue/epoxy/TBB3 with saw dust or drill it out and plug it with a denser than osage wood.

The bow is 68" long and 47@28.  I could fill most of it with sawdust and superglue then top it off with dyed epoxy.  It doesn't flex there at 29"

You mean it does not look like it doesnt flex there.
 With that riser cutout , after making 60-70 of them, They FLEX there. How do i know? Glue a handle on belly side of riser, flatten , put draw stick in and you can measure the deflection at FD!

Clint, you could use that new epoxy by JBWeld. It is slightly flexible.

I'd leave it as is Clint with that bows' length.It angles deeper into the depth of the handle anyway.
I had black cherry reveal a knot after wood removal lately.Not the nicest surprise,but feel I'll be able to work with it.Think it'll be gone with more removal.

I would also leave it, I love knot holes in bows, in the right area of course. ;)
