Hello........
I want to thank all this sharing.......
this is my first post......making my fifth bow now......
it is a Mollegabet/Hjarno.......69 inches long, 1.5 wide made from a short board of a dense hardwood found in the street......
I bandsawed it in two halves and joined them with a W-splice.....
It thought the board had straight grain.....but I didnt read it well.......
seeing it from the front view shape.......the wooden fibers are not following the center of the limb....
everything went well unstrung........until I braced it....
braced it has a propeller twist......
I am thinking about removing wood from the strong side....
but I am still confused on which side is weak or strong!......
so, I took a (bad) picture showing the propeller twist.......with a red tape and blue tape showing the low side and high side of the twist....
which side should I remove some wood to correct the twist?
