Yew Bow?

I bought a 56" Yew bow stave from auction.
One end has a big bump, so I may be down to 55".

What design options do I have?
First time to touch Yew, have only used Osage previously.

By Bump, do you mean a big bruise in the sapwood, or a natural hump?

Photo's would be helpful.

What sort of bow do you want to build? Sinew backed? How wide is the stave?

Extend it with glued in levers, recurves or siyahs.

Yes splice in some tip sections. V-splices need no backing and are completely fine left as bare splices.
Yew also loves sinew :) I personally might be tempted to splice in some natural recurves, cut from a naturally bent section of wood and sinew back it.

Depending on the width, you could try and make a west coast Native American style bow.

It is 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches wide.

Not sure I have the ability to do levers, siyahs, but it does sound interesting.
