Hello all newbie here trying to build my first bow.Actually the second since the first was a board bow from pine not ideal grain and wood that broke during tillering. Now im working on a kids pyramid bow ftom holly oak 42" and im looking for 15lbs# 15".I had been generous on the dimensions at the start and soon i realised that it was much stronger than i expected.so after some advice from a guy in a fb group i reduced width almost to half..after continuinh tillering i ve noticed it had take set almost an inch at each limb.Is that because i drawed it more than the weight i was aiming?I found a scale and i saw that during tillering i was drawing it sometimes at 30lbs.the stave was cut to rough shape and dried around 2 months.thanks for any answer
