Looking good Pat-Rick. The quiver is bad azz.

Thanks brother, I appreciate it!

Hey great to see you Patrick. You know I slept so good last night I didn’t even here you snoring buddy.
I’d like to see pictures of the walk in cooler job.

That’s a very nice looking bow and quiver.

I know this one has some wiggle but the string should go through center of handle.

Ground is Still a little tacky. Don’t know if it will dry enough to plant today or not. Got lots of other stuff to do anyway. I did check with a string line. Handle is in the vice. I think it’ll work.

BJ, I fooled you bub, I got me a c-pap back in November. No snoring for me, and I feel a lot better!

No pics of the walk-in, it's at a flower shop and the cooler part it homemade. Pretty much partitioned off a section of the building and put 3 layers of blue foam insulation on every wall and the ceiling. Not the best but it keeps her flowers at 37 degrees.

That bow is coming along nicely bj!

Glad to hear that Patrick. The cooler sound pretty cool.
Thought I’d stop in tonight for awhile.

Got this one to brace and shaped the hand. Has some heartwood in it.
Ready to hit the bag now. Sleep tight Pat.

Found my kit. This fly didn't turn out so well. But I'm sure it'll catch fish. Accidentally tied the tail down to the hook.

I made a short string for the bow so gonna get on that soon.

deer hunter

sometimes using a clamp to hold the bow in the saddle of the tiller tree can throw you off if the limbs are unevenly strong.

Looking good BJ. You better hurry, the fields are going to start yanking on your leg pretty soon.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Nice one, BJ!  Russell, when I used to tie (back when I was not much older than you), my favorite fly was an original "pattern" that I called "The Windshield Bug."  It looked like, well, just that.  Not something I ever could have sold in a fly shop.  And I caught more fish on it than any other fly I ever tied, including the pretty ones.  ha ha

I “improved” my jig today after a couple quasi-failures trying to make recurved tips.  Still not sure why the last couple tries didn’t work, but it worked today and both tips turned out well.  This is a 62” hickory bow that I plan on backing with bamboo this weekend.

Last year I was averaging 2 bows per month. Here is a pic. of some of them. I have no idea whether after I post the pic.  it will show top to bottom, or left to right. The bow woods used to make these bows include, Osage, White Oak, Hornbeam,Hickory, American, Elm, and Birch. Couple of the bows are sinew backed. I enjoy this thread.

Left to right Hornbeam,White Oak,Osage ,Bamboo,Elm,Hickory, sinew backed Osage sapling, Birch I finished tillering today, but not finished, sinew backed Elm,and White Oak. All the bows are tillered to my  satisfaction, and bare shaft  tested except the Unfinished Birch bow. It is fun looking at all the different bows on this thread. Good idea, and nice to share ,and talk to other bow makers. Bob
