Thanks to everyone for showing up! This really was a fun get together and it seemed like we were all together, at least in spirit.  Kinda lifts the mood knowing we are all going through this together. I hope we all stay in touch a bit more and start sharing our work more. It does help pass the time.

Just because I don't comment doesn't mean I don't like looking and knowing what people are up to. I put some cool looking sheep horn overlays on my bow tonight.  Maybe tomorrow I'll get them rough shaped enough to hold a string.  I need to do some major cleaning before I can use my tillering tree.  Since I haven't been working on bows my shop has become more of a storage room.

Thats my plan as well. Tomorrow is my friday,planning on workin on another hackberry that I've had roughed out for awhile. Progress pics to come

I finished putting fertilizer on wheat and now I’m planting sugar beets. Think I got all the bugs out and everything zeroed in. Maybe if everything goes really good I make the trip next weekend

Can someone give me a second opinion on this. I see it bending a lot inner middle or a couple inches out of the fades.

were doing good . i used to tie the tillering tree to the banister! screwing it is a lot more sturdy!

after intense staring and remembering to use a straight edge i now know what to do.

It doesn't look bad. Get a shorter string on it. Brace it up so the string is an inch or two above the grip. I can tell by your limb thickness you have a 60# bow right now.

Well I got rained out so I thought I stop by for a couple hours. Got another HHB I gave a really good heat treatment and tried to wrestle a few curves I didn’t like out of her. She seems like a nice one. Good grain but kinda wiggly.

Tonight I got her little closer.

PS Russell I’m seeing most of the bend inner to starting to bend mid.
Like Pearl said not bad. I’d probably get the outers moving just a little next. A short string will pull the outers in a bit more.
